Coach Pat Scribner (aka Coach "Scribs") has been a full time CrossFitter since January of 2010, after starting his journey on CFLI's opening day. After getting hooked, his addiction turned into a passion, and has now transformed into his profession.

In high school Pat was a varsity Cross Country runner for five years, earning a spot as a 3x All League and 1x All Division runner. He also competed in track and wrestled throughout his High School career. Pat ran Cross Country at Suffolk Community College where he earned all Region and All-District honors. He is now a collegiate level Cross Country Coach at Dowling College.

Pat has been Lifeguarding at Smith Point County Park since 2006, he was 16 years old and became a competitor on the Smith Point Lifeguards Ocean Rescue Team in 2008. During the USLA Nationals in 2008 he took 6th in the 2k beach run and 10th in 2009 and 2010. Since starting CrossFit, Pat is no longer a 1-trick pony and has become a high level sprinter in addition to his distance running skills. In 2011 his 4x100m relay team took 4th in the nation and then made the podium with a 3rd place finish in 2012. In 2013, Pat hooked up with Ian in his event the Landline Rescue Race. For their debut as a team they made the podium with a 3rd place finish. In 2015 his team won the landline rescue race for USLA National Championship. He has contributed greatly to 5 of Smith Points 8 National Championship teams.

In 2012 Pat helped lead the CrossFit Long Island Competition team to a strong 7th Place finish out of over 130 teams that started the event.

Pat has also been surfing since he was 13 years of age and considers it, like CrossFit, one of his true passions.

Pat thanks CrossFit for everything it has given him and knows that it will be part of his life forever.

Domenique Scribner co-owner

* CrossFit Level 2 Trainer
* CrossFit Gymnastics
* CrossFit Mobility
* Carl Paoli's Freestyle Connection Seminar
* Ben Bergeron’s Chasing Excellence Seminar

Domenique competed in the sport of gymnastics for fourteen years. During high school she competed nationally for Gold Medal Gymnastics Center. Four of those years she earned a spot to represent Region 6 and compete at the Junior Olympic National Championships. During her senior year she received a full athletic scholarship to attend Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

During her collegiate years she was an uneven bars and balance beam specialist who would be in the lead off position for her team during the 2009 season. Unfortunately Domenique suffered a career ending injury during her sophomore year.

She was fortunate enough though, to stay and complete her degree while being a student assistant coach for her team. Upon graduation in the summer of 2012 she found crossfit looking for a post-collegiate sport. When she walked through the doors of CFLI she knew she had found her calling.

In 2015 Domenique made her winning debut on the Suffolk Theater stage for the first ever tribal games. On June 24, 2016 she became the Tribal Games III champion after qualifying to the final round of The Bracket.

By having a gymnastics background this was an easy transition for her, but now she specializes in helping EVERYONE adapt to CrossFit, no matter age, shape, or background.

After completing her Level 1 Certification she plans to further her knowledge in the sport of CrossFit, especially the gymnastics aspects.

Kevin Scribner  - coach

-CrossFit Level 1 Certified

Kevin was an athlete all through middle school and high school. Asked to join the varsity Track
team in the Winter of 8th grade at the age of 13 he found his passion that would carry him all through high School and into his Collegiate years. After graduating from Patchogue-Medford with 14 varsity seasons he was recruited to attend Kean University and continue his running there.
After 1 season of cross country at the college level he focused on track the next four years,
specializing in the 3000m Steeple Chase( A 2mile race over hurdles and through a water pit) finishing top 7 three years in a row in the East Coast Athletic Conference. After graduating and moving back home in December 2012 he wanted to focus he energy into a new athletic endeavor, so he followed his family’s
footsteps and started CrossFit.
After completing his level 1 certification in May of 2017 he hopes to continually learn and share his
passion of the sport.

john bracchi  -  coach

-CrossFit Level 1 Certified

When it comes to the CrossFit Undertow community, there are few who exude more pride and gratitude than Bracchi. With the dawn of his CrossFit career beginning in the hallowed grounds of the ‘blue gym’ of CrossFit Long Island in 2012, the enormous life changes that happened as a result have been monumental leading him to become a Level-1 Certified CrossFit Instructor as well as pursuing interest in a Level-2 certification.

Bracchi is no stranger to sport; he is a physical education teacher in the New York City Department of Education for over 15 years holding a degree from the esteemed SUNY Cortland and Hofstra. His Instagram name lets you know of his former experience in the track and field community as well as his coaching experience in that sport having coached several Undertow members in High School.

At the end of the day, Bracchi has had a tremendous experience in the CrossFit world. He is the first official member of the CrossFit Undertow community and has made numerous friendships and connections with people from all walks of life. And while you may NEVAH see him perform an overhead squat due to that fluid mobility, you’ll see him cycle that barbell on deadlifts, work through some double unders, or share some twelve ounce curls with the group after a workout. Bracchi loves coaching and hopes to share his experiences to help others improve their skills, strength, and overall experience.
